Resident Head of School recently visited Newcastle Dental School to examine their 3rd year end of year examination – a few piccies for the blog.
One of the bridges – the more famous one below
The conservation clinic awaiting the candidates for the examination
This is the view you get from their School
This is something unique to Newcastle, their very own bar called the “Crown and Bridge”……
More photos of other Schools may follow. [do you believe the filler?]

Well – as a Newcastle graduate I can confirm that the Crown and Bridge is a real pub located inside the dental school. At DentSoc on a friday night we would have three or four barrels of beer usually paid for by a sponsor who put on a little presentation for half an hour and then off to the bar we went. What was really nice was that the staff used to pop down for a pint as well – a long standing tradition. Fond memories.

Thanks Iain
I have met a lot of past Newcastle graduates who feel like minded…
